Ok so I can’t be at the Comic con but the Internet is the next best right?! Actually it’s a poor subsititue but we make do with what we have. Anyway, I just found out they’re showing a new trailer for the Gatchaman movie at the con. You remember G-Force right? No, not those silly hamsters, I’m talking the Super Science Ninja Team. Anyway, footage from the Comic con has alreadly leaked to the web but the trailers that have been coming out since 2007 are pretty good too. Missed them did you? Don’t worry. I Gatcha Man:

After almost pleading with friends to help me set up a day where we all went to the theater and sat through 3 movies, I ended up going solo. Everyone either wanted me to cater to their schedule, were simply unable to commit to something a week in advance, or just didn’t want to go. It was all good though because I had a great time and ended up seeing a forth movie as well.

Some Short Sci-Fi Films

I’ve always been a fan of good short films, especially good sci-fi short films that have to work on a tiny budget. If it wasn’t for the Internet, I’d probably never get to see as many as I do. Here are a couple I’ve recently seen that you might like:
The Raven:
Chris Black possesses a power that could lead to the destruction of the current regime, and they will stop at nothing to destroy him. The chase is on as Chris runs for his life in this sci-fi thriller set in an alternate and futuristic Los Angeles. (Total Budget: $5000)
The Gift:
This is one of five movies that all use the exact same few lines of dialog. You can check out the rest at here. They’re all pretty good. In the meantime, check out my favorite:
