Failed Superhero Pilots

Hollywood has finally begun to seriously and effectively make use of various comic book properties. Animated Superhero series have been doing well for years but their live action counterparts have not been doing so well. Outside of Smallville, there have been a lot of bad ones but some were so bad that they never maid it pass the pilot stage. Here are a few:

4 For 1
After almost pleading with friends to help me set up a day where we all went to the theater and sat through 3 movies, I ended up going solo. Everyone either wanted me to cater to their schedule, were simply unable to commit to something a week in advance, or just didn’t want to go. It was all good though because I had a great time and ended up seeing a forth movie as well.

Free Comic Book Day 2010

This was one of my most successful Free Comic Book Days in a while. I got to introduce a friend to the annual event too. We ended up visiting three comic shops. The first had absolutely nothing. The shop was empty and the owner didn’t seem too happy about it. The second shop, Metropolis Comics, was much better. There were multiple drawings and a few people parading around in Super-character outfits. Most of them were wack but I did like the Wonder Woman. This shop even let me choose the books I wanted. The last shop we went to, Amazing Comics, was a little more organized, maybe even too much so. There were however, free confections and coupons for future purchases. There was no Wonder Woman at this store and they made us choose from specific groups of books but I found a worthy lot.
Afterwards we had some Chronic Tacos which were amazing as usual. Then we headed back for some intense video gaming. Like Ice Cube said, “Today was a good day.”
